Kibo's Privacy and Safety Promise
All of our remote Pilots' in Control are screened, cleared, and licensed by the FAA. Remote Pilots in Control hold a FAA part 107 license.
WARNING: Under 18 U.S. Code § 32, it is a Felony to willfully, damage, destroy, or disable an aircraft in the special jurisdiction of the United States. Attempts to commit the offenses will result in a fine or imprisonment of up to twenty years, or both.
As exciting, luxurious, and innovative drone delivery is, we acknowledge that the privacy of our stakeholders is extremely important. This means the communities we operate in, the people who live in the communitites, our customers, and their families. That is why at Kibo we have made the promise to gain the trust of the communities and the people we serve, while complying with
Federal, State, and local laws to provide an unmatched, exclusive, quality experience.
Drones are Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) that can legally fly up to an altitude of 400 ft within permitted airspace. Drones usually have a camera attached to them to provide aerial view, guidance, and oversight to the remote Pilot In Control. In addition, most drones have the ability to record and take pictures while in flight, at the directions of the pilot.
Kibo promises not to:
Purposely record or fly over another person's- other than the customers home- reasonable amount of airspace without
consent, unless within legal emergency circumstances allowed by the FAA.
Purposely record or fly over school campuses reasonable amount of airspace without consent.
Purposely record or fly over commercial businesses whose operations would entail a trade secret reasonable amount of airspace without consent.
Purposely record or fly over city, governmental, and federal buildings reasonable amount of airspace without consent.
All of our remote Pilot's in Control have been screened, cleared, and licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration. In complying with all applicable FAA regulations, including safety, and commercial, Kibo promises to pioritize the safety and well-being of its stakeholders. This means the communities we operate in, the people who live in the communitites, our customers, and their families.
Under certain circumstances, Kibo is allowed to fly when weather permits. However, when this is not possible we hope our customers understand that:
Kibo will not:
Jeopardize, or put in risk anyone's life including our remote Pilot in Control. For the reason that our drones are equipped with
parts that may short circuit under adverse weather conditions and affect the flight, thus posing a risk to customers, by-standers,
and our pilots, we will not fly.
Will not intentionally violate, operate, or conduct drone deliveries in areas in which specific city ordinances do not permit.
Conduct deliveries under weather that may severely affect the payload thus posing a risk to pedestrians on ground.
Will not without permission fly over populated areas in which pedestrians may potentially be injured.
Intentionally violate, operate, or conduct drone deliveries in air space in which it is not permitted to fly in.
